Block of the Month
We have another wonderful Block of the Month starting in June! Join us for "Lovely in Lavendar" on Saturday, June 8th at either 11:30 am or 1:30 pm. This is a six-month program and will be held on the second Saturday of the month (June-November).
The fabric for this quilt is stunning! Come into our shop to see the lovely table runner that we have made out of these purple and black pansy fabrics. The quilt will contain 12 unique blocks, as well as setting squares and borders.

Each month we will demo how we constructed the blocks and hand out the kits. If you attend our demonstration and arrive on time, you will receive a $5 store credit to spend that day - or save them up for later! You are able to pick up the monthly kits anytime after the 2nd Saturday of the month.

You are going to love our newest Block of the Month at Quilted Works. "Peppermint Place" is a beautiful applique sampler quilt that will start Monday, June 10, 2013 and will run for 6 months. This quilt is perfect for the Christmas season and starting it early will assure you a fun new quilt in time for the Holidays!
"Peppermint Place" has five personality filled birdhouses! There's "St. Nick's Nest" with a Santa hat for the roof! "Snowbirds Welcome" has an ice skating Penguin with paper clips for skates. IT'S HERE! A BRAND NEW QUILTED WORKS ORIGINAL!
We think our designer, Marianne Ruben, hit one out of the park with this beauty! This program is called "Medallion Club." It will work like our Block of the Month Club, but the quilt is much different. We begin in the center of the quilt for month #1, then each month thereafter we add a new border, until we have this stunning 94" x 102" quilt. Because of some of the techniques involved, we strongly suggest coming to the free demo each month when possible. We'll have tips on what works and what doesn't. You'll also get a $5.00 store credit when you attend the demo and arrive on time. You can use it for our Deal of the Day item, or save them all to use for your quilting. No expiration date!

RED, cream, taupe (French General by Moda)
or

Participants may pick up kits anytime AFTER our club meets on the second Saturday if they cannot attend. They will not be eligible for the $5.00 store credit however.
Some backing fabrics from the line are available, but are selling quickly because of limited stock (the fabric line will not be reprinted). First to BUY (not order) will get the yardage available.
Full quilt in RED is hanging in our shop (pictures just don't do it justice). A smaller "table topper" done in the BLUE will show the fabrics/colors used for those choosing that option.

Join us this Monday, January 7, 2013 for the beginning of our newest Block of the Week! This time we are creating a darling Valenting Table Runner. This class will run for 3-weeks. Cost is $17.50 and includes pattern. The finishing kit is an additional $12.95. Short demo available for those interested, at 10:30, 12:30 & 5:30.
Our newest Block of the Month will begin January 12, 2013. This lovely quilt is made using the "Penelope" Fabric by Lakehouse Goods. Stunning colors of black, red and pinks! This Block of the Month will be a $25 sign up fee, which includes the pattern "Penelope's Garden." Each month, the fee will be $20 for the class and the fabric kit to complete that month's section of the quilt. Class times will be every 2nd Saturday of the month, at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. This Block of the Month will run for 13 months. We are also happy to ship the monthly kits to our customers who live outside of Southern Utah. Please visit us in the shop for more details! We are starting a new "Block of the Week" quilt this August! This project will be a festive wall hanging for Halloween. The pattern is by Kimberbell and is called "Home is Where the Haunt Is."
Block of the Week begins on Monday, August 6th and will continue every Monday for SIX weeks! For $35, you'll receive the pattern and a fabric kit for each of the 6 sections. We will also have quilt demos at 3 different times during the day, or you can simply stop by to pick the kit up at your convenience. There is a finishing kit available for $35, which will include borders, binding, backing and embellishments. Best of all, we'll ship it right to your door!

Sorry for the delay in posting the fabulous Show & Tell pictures from our April Block of the Month! We've been so busy with celebrating and now we have a lot of catching up to do! We loved seeing all of the great quilts and projects that were brought in this month. Keep up the good work ladies!
ATTENTION! All of you who have received the instructions and fabric for your April ROW of the Month quilt kit. This month, there was an ERROR on the cutting instructions! Please make sure to cut your background squares at 12 1/2" (NOT 12" as indicated on OUR instructions). PLEASE refer to the book prior to cutting to make sure you have the correct measurements. We are SO sorry for this error. If you have already cut your fabric, please come in and we'll replace it for you. If you have any questions, please call or come in to the shop and we'll help you out. Thanks!

The base colors are gray and cream, then you will be given the choice of what "Explosion" color you would like to add!
The gray fabrics we have chosen are from the Moda "Puttin' on the Ritz" line, and we bought out ALL the remaining stock on this fabric! The focus color fabrics are from the Kona fabric line "Explosion of Color."
